Product Description
Need a 1-Wire Alternator for your 1989-2002 Dodge Ram pickup with the 5.9 Diesel Cummins? This unit has a maximum output of 200+Amps and will produce between 100A at idle depending on whether the engine is gas or diesel and shaft speeds. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges with NO modifications. If you are putting the 5.9 Diesel powerplant into a vehicle not wired or equipped for it, this is your answer - no external regulator, no wiring. Just the main power feed wire.

RECENTLY ADDED FEATURE
We have added an optional W-Terminal or TACH pickup wire to this alternator. This option is only available on these “SE” Denso / dodge alternators that eliminate the PCM. When you select this option we will provide a tach lead for connection to a diesel specific aftermarket tach. This is only available at the time of assembly and older units are not physically eligible for retrofit.
The connection is simple, the wire is provided by us but does not need to be used if no tach is intended.
This will not work with factory equipped tachometers or ignition based tachometers, only a stator signal tachometer. (tach shown is not included)

1-wire on my 1989 W250 diesel
Shipping was on time and the fit and finish of the product is very good. Install was bolt in as advertised and pully size correct. I upgraded all of my wire to #2 welding cable (to battery + and the ground strap). Charges battery at 14.85-14.95 volts - tech at PA mention this at the top of the regulator set but is OKAY. Seems to handle grid heaters cycling on cold prairie Canadian winter days without trouble. I can't comment on the longevity of the alternator as I have only had it for a week. Will give 5 stars once I have run it for sometime.

If you you have a Cummins conversion vehicle this alternator is a must have, no more external regulator, solved numerous of issues I had would recommend this alternator to anyone

New alternator for my old truck
If you are reading this you are probably sick of having your voltage regulator failing and over charging your battery. I installled this alternator in a 91 Dodge 2500 with the 12 valve. The beauty of this setup is that you no longer have to deal with crappy regulators. Very happy so far!

simple buy, install, operation.
Bought one of these for my 03 12v cummins swapped chevy 2500hd. Didnt eant to deal with the pcm controlled alternator and the truck has alot of electronics. This thing hooked right up, looks factory, no wires to excite it at all- and it puts out a perfect 14.5v and has a ton of juice even at the low idle of a cummins. Little spendy but would buy again.
