Product Description
This is a substantial power upgrade alternator. It is the same size as the factory unit. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges with NO modifications BUT the Upgrade Power Cable is REQUIRED due to the amount of output it produces. Stock cables will not safely carry the load. 100+ amps at idle (2000 alternator shaft rpm) 200+amps maximum (6000 alternator shaft rpm) The stock belt can be used on original equipment vehicles. Starting in 2005 the alternator was controlled by the PCM, this is compatible with the Ford computer and in some cases will eliminate the cam position sensor code error. This unit is for the V6 Applications in this year range.
Applications: 2005-2008 Mustang V-6.
