For anyone performing a Bullitt Mustang Intake Manifold Conversion and slightly increased capacity is needed. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges with NO modifications. In order to use the Bullitt Intake Manifold on a 4.6L not originally equipped with it we specifically assembled this kit to put a 4G alternator back on a 4.6L Mustang which originally was equipped with a 6G. The 4G is about 30% thinner and is rated at 130 amps - and required for the added clearance when using the longer intake manifold as on the Bullitt cars. The original 6G alternator is only rated at 105 amps. The OEM style adapter plug needed for this conversion is included. Using this adapter ELIMINATES all wiring modifications. Plug and play! If you ever want to convert back to the 6G Alternator, just unplug it (plug also sold separately) 80 amps at idle (2000 alternator shaft rpm) 160 amps maximum (6000 alternator shaft rpm)
